Class 8 Tractors to Set Record Says ACT’s Vieth



According to Transport Topics, at the Technology & Maintence Council’s fall meeting ACT Research president Kenny Vieth said retail sales of class 8 tractors in the U.S. are still on pace to set a new record in 2015.

Vieth pointed to the struggling global economy and the strong U.S. dollar as a reason for a growing difficulty in exporting products aborad for manufactures, noted Transport Topics.

In addition, Transport Topics reported that Vieth said he expects a gradual slowdown in late 2016, although he is still optimistic about next year overall.
