The Certified Lease Professional (CLP) Foundation announced that Lori Dennis, SVP; Peter Dwyer, program manager; Laura Eichenseer, SVP; and Mike Wiedemer, national sales director with First American Equipment Finance (FAEF) have passed the CLP examination. FAEF currently employs 14 CLPs, second only to Financial Pacific Leasing, which has 17 CLPs.
When asked why Dwyer pursued the designation, he stated, “Prior to committing myself to the certification, I found the CLP an attractive designation simply from a signaling perspective. As I prepared for the exam, I appreciated how quickly a reinforced set of skills could be put to work. The returns were immediate.”
In September 2011, First American Equipment Finance had just two employees as CLPs (Alan Sikora, CLP and Chad Wiedenhofer, CLP). Within a little more than 13 months, it has added 12, with an additional ten slated to sit for the exam in 2014. Bill Verhelle, CEO stated, “We have agreed to build the CLP examination into our career development process for all FAEF staff.”
