Cogent Bank, an Orlando, FL-based business and personal community bank, launched a sports and entertainment banking vertical, which will aim to provide young athletes, both collegiately and professionally, with the financial literacy education and banking resources necessary to preserve their wealth.

“Cogent Bank will serve to arm players with the knowledge and resources to protect their money as they continue their career in sports and entertainment.” Brandon Ghee, senior vice president and managing director of sports and entertainment banking at Cogent Bank, said.

Ghee, a six-year NFL veteran, including time with the Cincinnati Bengals and Tennessee Titans, will provide firsthand experience and industry knowledge to support Cogent Bank’s efforts to benefit athletes in banking relationships founded upon ethics and trust.

Recently, Cogent Bank expanded its private wealth services and added aviation financing to its lineup of services.
