CIBC has appointed Ben Colley as managing director and business development officer in its U.S. Asset-Based Lending (ABL) team.
Colley will lead new deal originations across the Southeast, covering Georgia, the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas. He will also focus on expanding CIBC’s referral network, which includes private equity groups, investment banks, turnaround consultants and direct prospects.
“We are pleased to add Ben Colley to our East Region team,” said Brandon Barr, ABL group head. “Ben brings deep industry knowledge, a robust network and a strong commitment to supporting clients, prospects and referral sources. His expertise will be a significant asset as we continue to enhance our services and grow our presence in the region.”
Colley previously served as senior vice president at PNC Business Credit, focusing on business development in the Southeast. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. He is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth, Secured Finance Network and the Turnaround Management Association. In 2021, he was recognized on the Secured Finance Network’s “40 Under 40” list.
CIBC’s ABL team provides tailored financing solutions for middle-market businesses, supporting clients with asset-based funding for mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, restructurings and growth initiatives.
