Community West Bank has appointed Hinson M. Thomas as executive vice president and chief credit officer, effective March 17, the bank announced Monday.
Thomas has more than 30 years of experience in credit risk management, commercial banking and lending. He most recently served as chief credit officer at another California-based community bank.
In his new role, Thomas will oversee credit administration and manage credit quality across the company. He will also serve on the bank’s executive managing committee.
“Hinson’s leadership and experience in credit and finance will support our company’s growth plans,” said James J. Kim, president and CEO of Community West Bank.
Thomas earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and an MBA from California State University, San Jose. He also completed the postgraduate program at Pacific Coast Banking School.
Community West Bancshares, the parent company of Community West Bank, is headquartered in Fresno and operates full-service banking centers throughout Central California. Founded in 1979, the company offers services in commercial lending, agribusiness, SBA loans, residential construction, mortgage, manufactured housing, private banking and cash management.
