DLL announced its newest blog “2023 Trends That Will Drive Change in the Food and Agriculture Industries” in which it highlights several key trends in the agriculture industry that will shape the food landscape in the coming years, including the adoption of electric power and renewable energy sources.

Electric tractors and other machinery are becoming more common, precision agriculture techniques that rely on electric sensor systems are also on the rise and the increasing use of electric power in agriculture.

Another trend discussed in the blog post is the growing use of renewable energy sources in agriculture. Solar and wind power are being used to power irrigation systems, enabling farmers to conserve water and reduce their reliance on fossil fuels. Additionally, on-farm energy production is providing farmers with an opportunity to generate additional income by selling excess energy to the grid.

The blog also stresses that along with electrification and renewable energy, precision agriculture, conservation agriculture, agroforestry, biodiversity protection and soil health improvement are also crucial for a sustainable food production. The blog post provides an insightful look into the food trends that will shape the industry in the coming years, and it provides valuable information for both consumers and producers.
