Doosan Seeking to Sell Machine Tool Unit



The Korea Times reported, according to company officials, that Doosan Infracore, the construction equipment making unit of struggling Doosan Group, is set to unload its profitable machine tools division to secure much-needed cash.

According to the Times, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) and MBK Partners, have expressed interest in acquiring the division.

Separately, Reuters reported that Taiwan’s FFE Group has submitted a bid, which some analysts say could fetch up to $1.7 billion.
