Following its recent merger with Cambridge Trust and as part of its enhanced focus on product development, wealth management and private banking, Eastern Bank named Sujata Yadav chief product officer. The bank also named several former Cambridge Trust leaders to the following roles:

Yadav joined Eastern as senior vice president, consumer lending director in 2017 and was promoted to executive vice president, chief marketing officer in 2021. As chief product officer, Yadav will lead a centralized product team focused on product strategy, development and management while continuing to enhance product-related marketing and data analytics to help drive innovation, revenue growth and strategic alignment with customer needs. Under her leadership, Eastern has enhanced its consumer offerings including its first, fully integrated online platforms for unsecured lending and home equity. While leading product marketing and analytics, she helped improve Eastern’s product marketing and performance measurement capabilities. Prior to Eastern, Yadav worked at Citibank for 14 years in both national and international leadership roles across the consumer bank. She earned a BA from the University of Rajasthan in Jaipur, India and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow, India. Yadav serves on the board of directors of the United Way of Mass Bay and Merrimack Valley, The Boston Ad Club and Junior Achievement of Greater Boston, and on the board of trustees for Winchester Hospital.
Smith leads the combined Cambridge Trust and Eastern Bank wealth management teams including investment management, trust and estate services and financial and tax planning services, along with delivering private banking services to wealth management clients from Massachusetts and New Hampshire to Connecticut. Smith joined Eastern Bank in July 2024 through the merger with Cambridge Trust, after joining Cambridge Trust in 2023 following a 24-year career at Rockland Trust. He started his career at Scudder, Stevens & Clark in Boston, MA. Smith has his CFP designation and earned his BA in Economics at the University of Vermont. He serves on the board of Cooperative Production in Taunton, MA.
Remis Hackel joined Eastern Bank in July 2024 through the merger with Cambridge Trust. Previously, Remis Hackel served as chief marketing officer of Cambridge Trust, responsible for branding, advertising, marketing communications, digital, social, web, campaigns, public relations and media. In addition to her role as chief marketing officer of Cambridge Trust, Remis Hackel was president of the Cambridge Trust Charitable Foundation and served as the bank’s executive leader of the merger with Eastern Bank. Prior to Cambridge Trust, Remis Hackel worked at HarbourVest, a global private equity firm with headquarters in Boston and London, and State Street Global Advisors in various institutional product and marketing roles. Remis Hackel graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University and gained her MBA at Columbia Business School. She serves on the board of directors of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA.
Mooney leads private banking for Eastern Bank. She joined the company in July 2024 through the merger with Cambridge Trust. Most recently, Mooney served as chief deposit officer at Cambridge Trust, overseeing the banking offices, commercial treasury services and overall deposit strategy. Prior to joining Cambridge Trust, Mooney worked as the director of Branches for HarborOne Bank from October 2016 to June 2018. Prior to that, she held various leadership positions at Rockland Trust from July 2010 to October 2016 including first vice president/district manager for greater Boston and sales and service officer for the Retail Branch Network. Mooney is a graduate of Boston College. She is a former advisory board member for the investment and finance committees of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts.
