Submissions for session proposals for the ELFA Annual Convention are due by the end of the day today, Friday, June 28th. The convention will be held October 27-29, 2019 at the Marriott Marquis Washington, D.C.

The ELFA Annual Convention is the premiere setting to discuss the leading trends, issues and solutions in the equipment finance industry. The organization is seeking diverse perspectives on preparing for the future of equipment finance, from delivering value to customers, to leveraging new technology, to entering new markets.

A non-exhaustive list of session ideas to get your creativity flowing are:

• Medical marijuana/ CBD/ hemp-derived Product discussions and legalities
• New lease accounting standards; impact on the leasing and finance company; impact on your customers
• Update on growing market segments: e.g., software investment, aircraft, industrial equipment
• How to build your workforce for the future? Gender and ethnic diversity
• Where will growth come from: domestically? Internationally?
• Margin compression: How can companies add additional value for their customers to counteract the trend toward margin compression?
• Systems implementation and integration – technology facing the equipment finance industry today – Where are we going? Where should we be going?
• Compliance issues as they relate to systems, operations or transactions
• A new generation is entering the workforce, changing the rules for attracting and retaining talent.
• Compensation trends, employee engagement, and emerging talent retention
• Cloud-deployed financing assets

A proposal review board will review each proposal submitted. The ELFA will send notification of the status of proposals during the week of Monday, July 29, 2019.
