ELFA Launches Online Course on the Equipment Finance Transaction Lifecycle

The Equipment Leasing and Finance Association has launched an online course on the Equipment Finance Transaction Lifecycle. This new resource walks users step-by-step through the lifecycle of an equipment finance transaction—from origination through termination. The course is designed for equipment finance professionals seeking a better understanding of the essential steps that make up a successful transaction and the importance of their role in the process.

Highlights include:

  • As users explore each lifecycle step, they learn about the 4Ps tied to a transaction: the purpose, people, policies and paperwork.
  • Knowing how all the components work together ensures that users understand the big picture, as well as the importance of their role in ensuring the success and satisfaction of their customers.
  • Users earn badges of achievement as they progress through the course, culminating in a certificate of completion.
  • The course takes approximately one hour to one hour and 15 minutes to complete. It is self-paced: it can be completed in one sitting or track where learners left off if they decide to log out and return later. Users may access the course via multiple devices, from smartphones to tablets to laptop computers.

The Equipment Finance Transaction Lifecycle is the latest addition to the ELFA Academy, the association’s online portal for high-quality, interactive training and resources on the essentials of equipment finance. The course is excerpted from ELFA’s Fundamentals of Equipment Leasing and Finance, a seven-part training program.

While the Fundamentals course offers a more comprehensive industry overview, the new course offers targeted training on the lifecycle of a transaction, with an enhanced introductory module and additional animation to illustrate the end-to-end transaction flow.

How to Access the Course

The Equipment Finance Transaction Lifecycle course is available to both ELFA members ($199) and nonmembers ($300). The course is available for individual purchase as well as bulk purchase of 11 or more licenses by companies that wish to train more than one employee at a time.
