ELFA May Webinars to Provide Critical Industry Info During COVID-19



The Equipment Leasing and Finance Association released its new webinars schedule for May 2020. The webinars are part of the association’s “Wednesday Webinars @1” series created to provide critical information to equipment finance professionals in the face of the global COVID-19 pandemic. The webinars will engage experts on a series of hot topics—from e-leasing to loan modifications—and allow attendees to ask questions during interactive Q&A sessions. All of the events qualify for 1 CPE credit.

The following ELFA webinars are scheduled for May 2020:

e-Signatures and e-Leases in the COVID-19 World

Wednesday, May 6, 1-2pm ET

Is your equipment finance company looking to ramp up e-signing and e-leasing in the current environment? Learn what you need to know to jump start (or accelerate) your e-signing and full-blown e-leasing. Topics will include considerations flowing from remote work locations, signer authentication, enforceability considerations and determining who has the “original.”

Lease and Loan Modifications and Restructurings in the COVID-19 Environment

Wednesday, May 27, 1 pm-2 pm ET

In this difficult business environment lessors and lenders are receiving requests from their customers for some form of rent accommodation. This webinar will focus on the basic accounting model for lease and loan modifications, recent actions by the Financial Accounting Standards Board and federal regulators in the U.S. and the International Accounting Standards Board in London to address the COVID-19 impacts on leases, and how these models work with the more common forms of lease modifications.
