The Equipment Leasing and Finance Association released its new webinars schedule for May 2020. The webinars are part of the association’s “Wednesday Webinars @1” series created to provide critical information to equipment finance professionals in the face of the global COVID-19 pandemic. The webinars will engage experts on a series of hot topics—from e-leasing to loan modifications—and allow attendees to ask questions during interactive Q&A sessions. All of the events qualify for 1 CPE credit.
The following ELFA webinars are scheduled for May 2020:
Is your equipment finance company looking to ramp up e-signing and e-leasing in the current environment? Learn what you need to know to jump start (or accelerate) your e-signing and full-blown e-leasing. Topics will include considerations flowing from remote work locations, signer authentication, enforceability considerations and determining who has the “original.”
Featuring: Moderator Dominic Liberatore, deputy general counsel, DLL, with panelists Stephen Bisbee, president, eOriginal, and Bob Cohen, partner, Moritt Hock & Hamroff. Time will be reserved for Q&A.
How are you addressing your company’s current needs and long-term operational resilience? This webinar will help you address the needs of the current crisis with post-pandemic planning and prepare for the “new normal.” It will also help you take a more holistic approach to building long-term organizational resilience. Record actionable “lessons learned” from your organization’s pandemic response and use this crisis to map more accurately the interdependencies between your assets, critical processes and suppliers. All attendees will receive a Post-Pandemic Report Template and a “Return to Work” Plan Template.
Featuring: Mike Campbell, CEO, Fusion Risk Management, Past ELFA Board Member; David Nolan, founder & strategic advisor, Fusion Risk Management; and an additional speaker TBA.

Time will be reserved for Q&A.
In this difficult business environment lessors and lenders are receiving requests from their customers for some form of rent accommodation. This webinar will focus on the basic accounting model for lease and loan modifications, recent actions by the Financial Accounting Standards Board and federal regulators in the U.S. and the International Accounting Standards Board in London to address the COVID-19 impacts on leases, and how these models work with the more common forms of lease modifications.
