Equipment Finance’s STRIPES Leadership Program to Launch Cohort No. 2 in February

STRIPES Leadership Program, in partnership with Monitor, is excited to announce the launch of Cohort No. 2 in February 2022. STRIPES is a 10-month professional and personal leadership development program designed to challenge and inspire best-in-class leaders within the equipment finance industry.

The first cohort launched in September with 23 participants from various companies in equipment finance. The participants’ roles are diverse and cover many aspects of a leasing company, including sales, credit, operations, marketing, capital markets and IT. All of the participants are current leaders within their companies and each has an aspiration to grow and develop their leadership role. Each participant is embarking on a unique, enriching experience tailored to their individual goals and objectives.

“Our first cohort launched Sept. 28 and the participants hit the ground running. Now, almost two months later, they are fully engaged and embracing every aspect of the program. It’s so fun and fulfilling to watch them grow and develop! The transformation already achieved by the STRIPES Cohort 1 participants has been amazing! We have heard nothing but positive feedback from participants and their managers. We look forward to welcoming Cohort No. 2 at the beginning of next year,” Lisa Rafter, founder and CEO of STRIPES Leadership Program, said.

Launching in February 2022, Cohort 2 participants will begin their personal and professional STRIPES Leadership Program with a three-day Leadership Breakthrough Intensive facilitated by STRIPES’ partner, Gap International. The three-day program is transformative in nature and is the launchpad for the rest of the program. The next 10 months include Master Talks, Master Workshops, Independent Working Groups, Breakthrough Reflection Sessions and more.

A new Master Workshop has been added to Cohort 2 consisting of three panels of equipment finance executives moderated by Rafter. The executives include Adam Warner, president at Key Equipment Finance; Will Perry, president at Regions Equipment Finance; Bill Verhelle, founder and CEO of Innovation Finance; Vince Belcastro, group head capital markets at Element Fleet Management; Ellen Comeaux, senior vice president and commercial division sales leader at TIAA Bank; David Normandin, president and CEO of Wintrust Specialty Finance; and Mike Romanowski, president of Farm Credit Leasing. These distinguished panelists will discuss their approaches and perspectives regarding some of the most important aspects and qualities of leaders in support of STRIPES’ outcomes: inspiring change and transformation, fostering bold thinking, embracing open hearted leadership, creating fellowship and making a difference.

STRIPES Leadership Program is a 10-month, certificate granting program that provides immersive training delivered by recognized industry leaders and best-in-class leadership experts, including a partnership with global management consultancy firm Gap International.
