The Wall Street Journal reported that Federal Reserve’s rate-setting committee could expect more consensus in 2020 after an annual rotation of its members.
In January, chiefs from the Cleveland, Philadelphia, Dallas and Minneapolis banks will join the committee, according to the report.
Leaving the committee will be the heads of the Boston, Chicago, Kansas City and St. Louis banks, according to the Journal.
According to the Journal, 2019 was the most contentious year for the committee during Chairman Jerome Powell’s tenure.
