First American Earns 4th Recognition from FORTUNE and Great Place to Work

FORTUNE and Great Place to Work named First American Equipment Finance No. 8 among the 30 Best Workplaces in Finance and Insurance in the U.S.

This recognition comes in addition to First American’s other awards from FORTUNE/Great Place to Work, including Best Workplaces for Giving Back (No. 26), Best Workplaces for New College Grads (No. 41) and Best Workplaces for Millennials (No. 16). First American has furthermore been named by ENTREPRENEUR Magazine as a Top Company Culture (No. 6) and by Best Companies Group as one of the Best Places to Work in New York (No. 2).

“Being recognized as a top workplace in Finance and Insurance is a great honor, and it is entirely due to our outstanding staff of professionals,” said Alan Sikora, CEO of First American Equipment Finance. “Our hardworking colleagues make First American the best company to work for, and the best company to work with. I am deeply grateful and privileged to work alongside them every day.”

To compile the ranking, Great Place to Work polled 41,000 employees in the financial services and insurance industry and asked them what they like most about their employers. The survey results illustrated that – above and beyond anything else – they value financial services and insurance companies that democratize decision making and ensure that every employee’s voice is heard fairly.

Other questions in the survey that led to this ranking included topics about how frequently employees experience behaviors that create a great workplace, including an environment of honesty and ethics, camaraderie among employees, fair and respectful treatment and clear expectations.
