First American EF Ranks #30 on ‘Best Companies to Sell For’ List

Selling Power Magazine identified First American Equipment Finance as #30 among the top sales forces in the United States. The ranking includes companies of all sizes, with sales teams ranging from fewer than 100 salespeople to salesforce numbers in the thousands.

“First American’s vision is to become the best company to work for, and the best company to work with,” said Mike Wiedemer, national sales director for First American Equipment Finance. “Our sales professionals work hard every day to innovate around the client experience so that it can be simpler, faster and more-customized. Doing so has enabled us to exceed client expectations and grow market share.”

First American’s philosophy includes hiring and retaining top talent, integrity and transparency in all business dealings, and uncapped sales earnings. As a result, the sales trajectory has shown steep growth during the last several years. The company grew from $412 million in sales in 2015 to $1.1 billion in 2018. First American is continuing to grow and is actively hiring a limited number of commercial lending professionals.

To determine the rankings, Selling Power focused on data from the following areas: customer growth and retention; hiring, compensation, sales training and advancement; and company recognition and reputation.

Beyond this recognition, FORTUNE and Great Place to Work ranked First American as the #1 Best Small/Medium Workplace in Financial Services and Insurance, a Best Midsize Workplace for Millennials, Best for Women, Best for Giving Back and Best for New Grads. Entrepreneur Magazine named First American as a Top Company Culture, and Best Companies Group named First American the #1 Best Place to Work in New York in 2012, 2018 and 2019.

First American Equipment Finance is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Los Angeles-based City National Bank. It provides commercial equipment financing to the most creditworthy and sophisticated commercial borrowers in the country.
