First American Equipment Finance Named No. 9 Best Place to Work in New York



FORTUNE named First American Equipment Finance No. 9 in its Best Workplaces in New York rankings.

First American earned this ranking based on an anonymous third-party survey of all employees. The survey measured trust in the company’s leadership, respect for all colleagues, fairness and camaraderie. The ranking took into consideration feedback from more than 33,000 workers across New York State and the New York metropolitan/tri-state area. The data-driven rankings were completed by Great Place to Work, a global analytics and consulting firm.

“My colleagues and I are honored that First American has been named among the best workplaces in New York,” said Alan Sikora, CEO of First American Equipment Finance. “We are proud that First American is a place where passionate, high performing professionals can flourish.”

Over the past few years, First American’s new business volume has grown substantially, from $414.2 million in 2015 to $1.029 billion in 2017. During this time, the company created nearly 100 new positions at its Fairport, NY headquarters.
