First American Named to FORTUNE’s 100 Best Workplaces for Women

Based entirely upon feedback from approximately 138,000 women at Great Place to Work-certified companies, FORTUNE and Great Place to Work named First American Equipment Finance among the 100 Best Workplaces for Women in the U.S.

Women employees completed an anonymous Trust Index survey, answering questions including their assessment of how fairly they are treated regardless of gender, the authenticity of communications with managers, and equitable pay and promotion practices.

“We believe in creating a workplace where talented, ambitious people can achieve their personal and professional goals,” said Alan Sikora, CEO of First American Equipment Finance. “We are fortunate that so many high-achieving women have chosen to build their careers at First American.”

Results of the survey are highly reliable, having a 95% confidence level. Earning inclusion on this list indicates that First American has distinguished itself from other companies in the U.S. by providing an overall great place to work for women, including an environment where women have high representation in the total employee population as well as in management positions.

“At First American, women have made substantial contributions to the company’s success,” said Carol Roselle, senior vice president of Human Resources at First American. “Some of our highest achievers, including members of the leadership team in both Sales and Operations, and our Salesperson of the Year, are women.”

This recognition is in addition to First American’s other awards from FORTUNE/Great Place to Work, including Best Workplaces in Finance and Insurance (No. 8), Best Workplaces for Giving Back (No. 26), Best Workplaces for New College Grads (No. 41), and Best Workplaces for Millennials (No. 16). First American has furthermore been named by ENTREPRENEUR Magazine as a Top Company Culture (No 6) and by Best Companies Group as one of the Best Places to Work in New York (No. 2).
