First American Ranked No. 2 on Energage’s 2021 Top Workplaces USA List

Energage ranked First American Equipment Finance No. 2 among companies with between 150 and 499 employees on its 2021 Top Workplaces USA list. The Top Workplaces USA ranking is built on Energage’s 14-year history surveying more than 20 million employees for 54 regional Top Workplace awards.

“This national Top Workplaces recognition allows First American colleagues to reflect and celebrate the amazing culture they have built over the years, one they have continued to cultivate while working from home for the last 10 months,” Alan Sikora, CEO of First American Equipment Finance, said. “The crises of 2020 revealed the true character of our people. I have never been more inspired to work beside this incredible group of professionals.”

Over the past five years, First American’s new business volume has grown from $414 million in 2015 to $1.48 billion in 2020. During this time, the company created more than 100 new positions at its Rochester, NY, headquarters.

Top Workplaces USA offers national recognition for organizations with more than 150 employees that may have operations in multiple markets. More than 1,100 companies participated in the Top Workplaces USA survey. Winners were chosen based solely on employee feedback gathered through an employee engagement survey, which was issued by Energage. Results were calculated by comparing the survey’s research-based statements, including 15 culture drivers that predict high performance against industry benchmarks.

“During this very challenging time, Top Workplaces has proven to be a beacon of light for organizations, as well as a sign of resiliency and strong business performance,” Eric Rubino, CEO of Energage, said. “When you give your employees a voice, you come together to navigate challenges and shape your path forward. Top Workplaces draw on real-time insights into what works best for their organization, so they can make informed decisions that have a positive impact on their people and their business.”

In addition to this honor, Fortune and Great Place to Work have ranked First American as a Best Small and Midsize Workplace, a Best Workplace for Millennials, a Best Workplace in Financial Services and Insurance, a Best Workplace in New York, Best for Women, Best for Giving Back and Best for Grads. Entrepreneur Magazine named First American a Top Company Culture and Selling Power Magazine named First American among the Best to Sell For. Best Companies Group named First American the No. 1 Best Midsize Place to Work in New York in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
