Food Logistics Selects Fleet Advantage as 2016 Top Green Provider

Fleet Advantage was recognized by Food Logistics Magazine as a Top Green Provider for 2016, acknowledging the company as a leader in the sustainable global food supply, specifically citing Fleet Advantage’s Advanced Truck Lifecycle Administrative Software (ATLAAS) and its asset management solutions.

By continually monitoring individual truck performance within a fleet utilizing ATLAAS, Fleet Advantage identifies the point in each truck’s lifecycle where operating the older truck costs more than upgrading to a new, more fuel-efficient model. The goal is to conserve fuel, reduce emissions, lower maintenance costs and provide a cleaner environment and an economically sustainable model for the company.

“Having better visibility into the profit and loss of each truck allows our clients to not only improve performance but significantly enhance the social, economic and environmental sustainability of their fleets,” said Brian Holland, president and CFO of Fleet Advantage. “We are honored to be recognized for our leadership in this area and are excited to continue to provide the highest quality of service to fleets across the country.”

Food Logistics’ annual Top Green Providers list recognizes companies whose products, services or exemplary leadership is enhancing sustainability within the food and beverage industry. The list offers logistics professionals a guide to the providers, manufacturers and technology companies that have found new ways to promote sustainability throughout their operations and those of their customers.

“The 2016 Top Green Providers reached a new record high for applicants and recipients, confirming the importance of sustainability in the global food and beverage supply chain,” said Lara L. Sowinski, editorial director, supply chain network, at AC Business Media, the publisher of Food Logistics. “Our industry’s continued focus on environmental stewardship and the role that growers, manufacturers, logistics companies, retailers and others play is driving heightened awareness and actions aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions while simultaneously boosting cost and energy efficiencies.”
