Former GE Capital Exec Joins Great Rock Capital as Chief Risk Officer

Great Rock Capital Partners, a Connecticut-based investment management firm specializing in middle marketing lending, announced Jim Hogan joined the firm as chief risk officer. Hogan will oversee the firm’s risk management, including, leading due diligence on transactions, underwriting and documentation efforts, as well as implementing portfolio controls and reporting. He will report to Stuart Armstrong, chief executive officer and chief investment officer.

Hogan joins Great Rock Capital with over 25 years of commercial lending experience. He previously worked with Regions Financial, where he served as head of Retail Finance Origination. Prior to Regions, he spent over 15 years at GE Capital Corporate Lending where he served as commercial leader of Restructuring and Retail Finance. “Jim is one of the most qualified leaders in the commercial lending space and understands the critical need for financing that many middle market companies have in today’s evolving environment,” said Stuart Armstrong. “His experience in corporate finance, especially in special situations, will be a significant asset as we continue to build the foundation for the growth of Great Rock Capital.”
