Fortune Magazine Names Ryder among World’s Most Admired Companies

Ryder System has been named by Fortune magazine as one of the World’s Most Admired Companies. This is the eighth consecutive year that Ryder has made the list, ranking as one of the top five within the Trucking, Transportation, and Logistics category.

Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies list, a ranking of the world’s most respected and reputable companies, was based on a survey of 3,770 executives, directors, and security analysts. Each company is evaluated based on a variety of attributes, including investment value and quality of management and products to social responsibility and ability to attract talent.
Ryder is an $8.4 billion commercial fleet management, dedicated transportation, and supply chain solutions company, with operations in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and the U.K. The company, founded in 1933, operates behind the scenes, managing critical transportation and logistics functions for more than 50,000 customers, many of which make the products that consumers use every day. Ryder employs nearly 40,000, manages a fleet of more than 277,000 commercial vehicles, and operates more than 55 million square feet of warehouse space.
