Marty Gutter, founder of Gramercy Leasing Services, passed away on July 11, 2022 in Boca Raton, FL. Gutter began his career as a copier salesman and soon realized that the leasing guys made more money and didn’t get ink all over themselves.
In 1979, he founded Gramercy Leasing Services. Gutter grew the business and eventually sold it to Atlantic Bank of New York in 1997. He was best known for being a magician, that is what differentiated himself from everyone else and helped with his success.
Gutter is survived by his wife, Joan; his sons, Stuart and Michael; and four granddaughters.

Wow. So sad to hear this. Marty was one of the greats in this business and one of the original founders of the EAEL. Gramercy was one of my first clients in the equipment leasing business and a true gentleman. Condolences to the Gutter family.
I am so sorry to hear about Marty. He was a true entrepreneur, an entertaining magician, and a passionate wine connoisseur. I have great memories of working with Marty years ago.
Best wishes to his family.
Well said Amy. Only the best of memories.
