Allen Winmill joined Gateway First Bank as chief accounting officer. In this role, Winmill will be responsible for corporate accounting, technical accounting standards implementation, regulatory reporting, tax preparation and filing and accounts payable.

“Allen has been working with Gateway since mid-July as our interim chief accounting officer and has been a great resource and complement to our accounting team,” Nick Hahn, CFO of Gateway First Bank, said. “He is a great addition to our Dallas corporate office.”

Winmill, who is a certified public accountant licensed in Texas, has more than 25 years of experience in accounting and the financial services industry and has held senior leadership roles at several Fortune 500 companies. He specializes in complex accounting issues, including derivatives, consolidations, securitizations and business combinations. He also has experience in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes.
