GE Capital Vet Hung to Lead First Tennessee Franchise Group

Tom Hung joined First Tennessee Bank as managing director, group head of the Franchise Finance Group, according to an article posted on the Restaurant Franchise Monitor.

The Monitor reports Todd Jones, First Tennessee executive vice president of wholesale banking, brought Hung on board after they had previously connected while working for GE Capital Franchise Finance. It quotes Jones, who says, “[Hung] is experienced and credible in the space. And he brings expertise and success with private equity and sponsors. We want him to continue to build on our efforts there and take them to next level.”

The Monitor adds Hung is replacing Jones after the latter’s recent promotion.

Hung’s LinkedIn profile shows an established history in the franchise finance space. He most recently worked Citizens Bank as a managing director in its Restaurant Franchise Group. Prior to that, he spent five years at GE Capital as first a vice president, then a senior vice president, also in Restaurant Franchise. He also served as an associate in mergers and acquisitions at Montgomery & Co. and as an intern at Deutsche Bank.
