The Wall Street Journal reported that Jeff Immelt, currently CEO of GE, is being considered for the “top position” at Uber Technologies.
The Journal noted that Immelt will be leaving his post as CEO of GE at the end of July but will retain his role as chairman until the end of 2017.
Immelt and others are being considered after Co-Founder Travis Kalanick was pushed toward the door due to scandals, the Journal said.
