GE Sells Building in Montana as Part of GE Capital Restructuring

According to Billings Gazette, Zoot Enterprises, a Bozeman high-tech company, has completed a $8 million purchase of a building in Billings, MT that will soon be vacated by GE Capital.

The news report noted, “GE sent shock waves through Montana when it announced two years ago that it planned to sell off its financial arm, GE Capital, as part of a company-wide restructuring.”

At the time, the announcement jeopardized about 200 jobs at the GE Capital Center for Excellence, which opened in 2010 to great fanfare, according to the Gazette news report.
