GE, Siemens Acquisitions Bolster Digital Presence



According to Bloomberg, in a move aimed at expanding digital operations and improving equipment maintenance, General Electric purchased cloud-based software company ServiceMax for $915 million.

Bloomberg said that the acquisition is expected to close in January.

In addition, Bloomberg reported that Siemens AG purchased Mentor Graphics, a U.S. software manufacturer, for $4.5 billion.
