GreatAmerica Financial Services announced Unified Communications (UC) industry veteran, Ian Pugh, joined its team. Pugh has 15 years of experience in the Unified Communications industry. He will serve as director of Strategic Programs for the GreatAmerica Unified Communications and IT business unit.

Pugh will be responsible for the GreatAmerica UC and IT manufacturer programs strategy and serve as a liaison between GreatAmerica and the telecommunications industry, including manufacturers and service providers.

“Ian brings an enormous amount of channel experience, industry connections, as well as sales and leadership experience,” said Wil Meggers, vice president and general manager of the Unified Communications and IT Group at GreatAmerica. “We help managed service providers, IT VARs, and UC channel partners navigate the evolution of the technology market, and Ian’s experience as a former leader of a technology company adds insight to that mission.”

Prior to joining GreatAmerica, Pugh spent 15 years in leadership, sales and marketing roles at Gsolutionz, a unified communications and collaboration provider in California. The last five years he served as the company’s president, leading them through a transition to cloud.
