The CIO Lifetime Achievement Award is a part of the Journal’s annual Technology Awards. The awards honor the chief information officers and chief technology officers who lead their organizations in delivering business value and innovative use of IT. The recipient must be a technology veteran with more than ten years of experience in the industry, with unique vision and accomplishments that have propelled their company to lead the way in technology.
Griffin received the award his extraordinary leadership qualities as head of the Fleet Advantage IT team. He has more than 24 years of experience in technology development and strategic planning for major technological and informational organizations. Griffin’s career initially began in software, where he grew his own company from inception to more than 65 employees in just eight years. Prior to joining Fleet Advantage, Griffin led a global user migration of more than 22,000 users from a legacy domain into a new domain that upgraded their user-base technology platforms.
Griffin has had a direct hand in the design, development and launch of ATLAAS (Advanced Truck Lifecycle Administrative Analytics Software) Unified, an enhanced and updated version of the company’s proprietary data analytics software. Griffin engineered the modifications that went into ATLAAS Unified by implementing a new state-of-the-art user interface that provides customers insights that can save millions to their bottom line.
“Jim has played an instrumental role in the development and expansion of our technology offerings and services to our clients,” said Brian Holland, president and CFO at Fleet Advantage. “The CIO Lifetime Achievement Award honors the most influential individuals in the technology industry, and Jim is no exception to that. Griffin has had tremendous success here at Fleet Advantage and our team is honored to work alongside such a talented individual.”
