Huntington’s Shafer to Retire as Senior EVP, Co-President of Commercial Bank



According to an 8K filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Thomas C. Shafer will retire as senior executive vice president and co-president of the commercial bank of Huntington Bancshares on Dec. 31.

As part of the transition process, on June 30, Shafer will officially relinquish his role as co-president of the commercial bank. From July 1 to the end of Huntington’s fiscal year, Shafer will remain a senior executive vice president in a senior advisory capacity before officially retiring on Dec. 31.

According to the report, upon Shafer’s departure from his current role, Scott Kleinman will become president of the commercial bank.
