IronPlanet to Conduct Retirement Auction for NJ Construction Company

IronPlanet will sell all of the equipment and trucks of D.R. Mullen Construction Company in an unreserved weekly online auction on December 14.

D.R. Mullen was opened 41 years ago in Northern New Jersey by Ray Mullen. The company specialized in site work, road construction, sewer, watermain and storm drain installation. Now 71 years old, Mullen decided to retire and sell his company’s equipment and trucks. Equipment highlights in the auction include excavators, dozers, graders, rollers, dump trucks, fuel and service trucks.

“We’ve always been very studious in the repair and service of our equipment—it’s all ready to go to work for new owners,” Mullen said. “I chose to sell with IronPlanet because of the convenience their online auctions provide. They can market my equipment to buyers all around the world.”

More than 130 items will be sold for D.R. Mullen on December 14. Items will be available for preview and priority bidding starting December 1.

“We’re honored Ray has trusted us to sell his assets and help fund his retirement—it’s a responsibility we take great pride in,” said David Kreis, regional sales manager for Ritchie Bros. “Ritchie Bros. solutions are designed to make buying and selling easy. With IronPlanet online auctions, sellers benefit from our global reach and marketing strength with the convenience of selling equipment where it sits. Buyers have access to equipment inspection reports, high-res photos and can quickly and easily bid from their desktop or mobile.”
