JPMorgan Appoints Former Obama Advisor to Lead Fintech Strategy



According to a Quartz report, Seth Wheeler, a former economic advisor to President Obama, joined JPMorgan Chase as a managing director leading fintech and innovation strategy.

JPMorgan Chase confirmed to Quartz that Wheeler joined the firm earlier this year.

JPMorgan partnered with alternative lender OnDeck to provide loans to small business clients.

Wheeler served as special assistant to the President for Economic Policy and senior advisor for Financial Services from 2013 to 2015. From 2010 to 2013 he was chief of staff and assistant director, financial stability for the Federal Reserve Board.
