Labor Productivity Stalls, Could Impact Fed’s Decision on Interest Rates



According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, nonfarm business sector labor productivity decreased at a 0.5% rate in Q2/16, which, according to the Wall Street Journal, could keep the Federal Reserve from raising interest rates.

The Journal noted that productivity has faltered in three straight months, marking the longest slide since 1979.
