LCA Bank Selected for SBA Entrepreneurship Recovery Event

LCA Bank (LCAB) participated in an evening call-in event for minority entrepreneurs throughout the Southeast. The 100,000 Strong Entrepreneurship Recovery event call highlighted resources available to small-business owners in the wake of COVID-19. Among the topics were protecting jobs and continuing economic growth.

LCAB was one of two lenders selected for the call, which was hosted jointly by SBA Regional Administrator, Ashley D. Bell and rapper, entrepreneur Tip “T.I.” Harris. Bell is also entrepreneurship policy advisor for the White House Opportunity & Revitalization Council.

LCAB’s spokesperson, former NFL player and entrepreneur, Dhani Jones, was instrumental in coordinating the event that was attended by minority business leaders and entrepreneurs throughout the Southeast.

“This was a great platform to highlight many of the avenues available to this community in dealing with this extraordinary health and economic crisis,” remarked Jones. “LCA Bank Corporation helped my company secure a PPP loan within days and I wanted to share my experience with this audience, so they know what’s out there for minorities if they deal with LCAB.”

Other speakers on the call included John Hope Bryant, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of nonprofit, Operation HOPE; Labriah Lee Holt, founder, Sweetroots of Atlanta; John Lewis, executive vice president, The Harbor Bank of Maryland; Erik Stamell, senior vice president of LCAB; Keita Joy, EdD, MS, CEO of Success Uncensored Coaching; Paul Wilson, area director of the Small Business Development Center at Georgia State University; and Eddie George, retired NFL player/entrepreneur.
