Marcelo Sarago joined Liberty Commercial Finance as chief investment officer. In this newly created role, Sarago will be responsible for evaluating, structuring and approving client opportunities. He also will have oversight of the portfolio and serve as a member of the company’s investment committee.

Sarago has experience in structured finance, capital markets and credit decision-making, most recently serving as a partner and managing director at White Oak Global Advisors, where he led investments for the company’s New York office. He previously held senior roles at Citigroup, ICON Investments and ECN Capital. During the last two decades, he has invested and managed more than $1 billion in opportunities.
