Medalist Partners Expands with Crawley as Private Credit Sector Manager

Mark Crawley joined Medalist Partners, an alternative investment management firm focused on asset-based private credit and structured credit, as a private credit sector manager.

“Medalist has continued to steadily expand its platform in recent years, including the launch of its third asset-based private credit strategy in 2022,” Michael Ardisson, president and COO of Medalist Partners, said. “Amidst the current market volatility and tightening of credit generally, the platform has experienced a meaningful increase in potential deal flow and financing opportunities. Mark’s investment experience and industry relationships are a strong addition to our existing capabilities.”

Crawley previously worked at KLS Diversified Asset Management where he was a partner, portfolio manager and head of U.S. specialty finance and ABS. Prior to that, he held senior investment roles at Contrarian Capital Management and Waterfall Asset Management. His primary areas of focus include private structured capital solutions and ABS investing across sectors such as aviation, equipment leasing, transportation, small business lending, consumer and other esoteric asset classes.

“We are thrilled to have Mark join the Medalist team as we continue to expand our business and seek to align ourselves with the best and brightest talent in the industry,” Greg Richter, CEO of Medalist Partners, said. “With Mark’s nearly 30 years of investment experience and extensive industry contacts across the specialty finance market, we look forward to him playing an integral role on the team.”
