NEFA NJ Expo Cancelled Due to Sandy

NEFA said that its 2012 Expo Super Regional Meeting, scheduled for Sunday evening, November 4, and Monday, November 5 in Teaneck, NJ, has been cancelled due to the recent storm damage in Northern New Jersey and the Greater New York City area.

“The safety and convenience of our members and attendees are our primary concerns,” said Gerry Egan, executive director of NEFA, the National Equipment Finance Association. “After monitoring conditions for the last few days and being in contact with local authorities, it wasn’t clear that we would be able to assure either our local area attendees or our attendees who would be traveling from out of town of safe and easy access to the event. Many of our members in the affected area are coping with damaged homes or offices and, as of today, are still without power.”

The Expo is one of the longest running networking, educational and exposition events in our industry, dating back into the earliest days of the old EAEL, one of the organizations that merged to form today’s NEFA. The Expo draws exhibitors, presenters and attendees from around the U.S. and Canada in addition the Northeast Region of the U.S.
