New Fed Program Will Fund Small Business Loans

The Wall Street Journal reported that the Federal Reserve is working with the Treasury to create a new program designed to finance the loans that lenders make through the emergency small business lending program.

The Journal noted that the Fed will create a facility that provides term financing backed by Payroll Protection Program loans.

The Fed plans to release more information on its plan, which will allow lenders to make more loans via the PPP, later this week.
