Oil Field Equipment Lessor Files $1MM Breach of Contract Suit



According to documents filed on June 13, 2011 in Harris County District Court in Houston, TX, Compass Directional Guidance is suing Oncourse for more than $1 million owed to Compass for leased oil field equipment.

Houston, TX-based Compass filed the suit alleging breach of contract against Michigan-based Oncourse and its primary shareholder, Curt Walsh. According to the plaintiff’s petition, Compass is seeking $1,020,255.30 plus interest in actual damages, plus attorney’s fees and court costs. The petition alleges that Walsh breached his guaranty to pay Compass despite written demand to Oncourse and notice to Walsh.
