Online lender OnDeck appointed Deb Stroff chief people officer. Stroff will be responsible for leading all aspects of people strategy, including overseeing organizational design, total rewards, talent management, recruiting, leadership development and learning, as well as driving the talent agenda forward as OnDeck continues to grow in scale and complexity.
Stroff joins OnDeck from Hogarth Worldwide, where she served as chief human resources officer and helped the organization upgrade their people capabilities to enable pursuit of an aggressive strategic growth plan. A seasoned executive successful in driving quantifiable results, she has more than two decades of experience as a leader spanning various industry sectors — including Marketing Production (Hogarth), Consumer Products (Coty), Media & Entertainment (Time Inc.), Professional Services (EY), and Hospitality (The Ritz-Carlton). In these positions, she has implemented innovative strategies and programs that transform workplace culture, enhance employee experience and improve business outcomes.
“Our team members are the most valuable asset we have at OnDeck. I’m delighted to welcome Deb to our senior management team and I look forward to her contributions as we continue to build the most innovative and professional workforce in online small business lending,” said Noah Breslow, OnDeck CEO. “With Deb’s strong track record in helping organizations scale both domestically and internationally, through organic and inorganic growth, she will play a vital role as we evolve our team to capture new opportunities.”
“As the future of work continues to come into focus, it is increasingly important we enhance our work environment and overall employment experience so that team members and candidates, regardless of location and role, can easily see their future at OnDeck,” said Stroff. “It feels great to join a mission-driven organization with an emphasis on setting individuals and teams up for success in both the short and long term.”
Stroff will report to Breslow and serve as a member of OnDeck’s executive committee. She will be based at OnDeck’s headquarter offices in New York.
