Scott Finlinson, general counsel of Onset Financial, accepted an appointment to the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association’s legal committee. He will serve until November of 2019.

Before joining Onset Financial, Finlinson was a corporate attorney with a practice focused on outstanding cost effective legal solutions for businesses. Finlinson has been named as one of Utah’s “Legal Elite” for the last six years by Utah Business Magazine. He is an active member of the Utah State Bar and is a frequent presenter and lecturer. He has also served as the president of the Bar’s Business section.

“I look forward to representing Onset Financial on a national stage and advocating for the growth of our industry,” Finlinson said. “To have a chance to specialize in this field and lead out with some of the great legal minds in the leasing world is a great privilege.”
