Bill Verhelle, CEO and founder of QuickFi, recently sat down with FinTech Futures for its What the FinTech? podcast.

In the podcast’s News in Numbers section, Verhelle discussed the importance of APIs and their key role in digital banking after a new Cornerstone Advisors report revealed that around 40% of banks currently don’t have an API strategy.

For the main discussion, Verhelle and FinTech Futures editor Paul Hindle discussed some of the main issues with current financing/lending models and the challenges small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) face when it comes to borrowing. Verhelle also discussed the work QuickFi is doing in this field to tackle these challenges and the company’s technical development journey.
