RailSolutions promoted Mike Mahoney, senior vice president, to president, effective Jan. 1. In his new role, Mahoney will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities of the company. He will take over for Rob Blankemeyer, current president, who will continue to work at RailSolutions as a senior vice president.

“Since joining RailSolutions in June 2020, Mike has brought a tremendous level of experience and industry knowledge to our firm. With the resources that we now have, I believe that RailSolutions is in a unique position to continue providing quality services to our existing clients, as well as to expand the scope of the services that we offer. I am very much looking forward to being a part of our firm’s growth and development,” Blankemeyer said.

Based in Boulder, CO, Mahoney has been with RailSolutions for six months as a senior vice president focusing on appraisals, the RailSolutions investors’ guide and special projects. Prior to RailSolutions, Mahoney served in various senior management roles with Helaba and DVB Bank, GE Capital, NatWest Markets and others. He has 40 years of experience in railroad equipment leasing, valuation and financing.
