Red8 launched Red8 Capital, a new division dedicated to offering flexible, on-demand technology financing and leasing options that enable customers to acquire enterprise data center technology.
“The advancement of cloud-based technology has changed the way companies are acquiring and consuming hosted and virtualized technology, but the way they pay for the rest of the IT data center ecosystem has not caught up to match this shift. This is why we created Red8 Capital,” said Richard Heard, president of Red8. “By modernizing the economics of IT operations and data centers, we can be the catalyst for change that will truly accelerate business success.”
Red8 Capital will offer its customers a wide range of flexible payment tools including leasing, financing and various usage-based billing options.
“For many enterprises, while the public cloud pricing model is very attractive, a fully hosted infrastructure may not make sense,” said Scott Sullivan, senior vice president of Red8 Capital. “Red8 Capital is offering the ability to enjoy the financial benefits of a public cloud solution while maintaining the certainty and security of a private cloud or on-premise environment.”
Red8 is a wholly owned subsidiary of Insight Investments and Red8 Capital will leverage best practices from the Insight Financial Services division.
