Reuters reported that AirAsia will begin the sale of Asia Aviation Capital this month and may value the business at roughly $1 billion.
According to Reuters, AirAsia has a market value of $2 billion and is seeking to sell in the hopes of cutting debt.
Reuters also said that the Asian budget airline wants to sell a majority stake in its leasing arm, but could be persuaded to enter into a full sale depending on the final valuation.
