Reuters: China Tariffs Will Have Negative Impact on U.S. Business Jets

According to a Reuters report, there will be a negative impact on the sale of Gulfstream and Boeing businesses jets due to China’s proposed tariffs on some U.S.-made planes.

The proposed tariff, which China’s Ministry of Commerce announced plans for last week, would put a 25% tariff on U.S. aircraft such as the Gulfstream G550 and G650 and the Boeing Business Jet, Reuters said.

Reuters noted, citing a Bombardier forecast, the market for business jets is expected to more than double in China over the next 20 years.
