Reuters: GE Sets Deadline for Japanese Leasing Unit Bids



According to a report from Reuters, General Electric has set a September 4 deadline for the initial round of bids for its Japanese leasing arm.

Reuters said that GE hopes to have the deal closed by the end of November, as it continues to sell off assets of its GE Capital holdings.

The sale is only for the machinery and automotive leasing operations portion of the unit, worth approximately $4 billion, Reuters noted.
