From April 30 through May 4 in Edmonton, Canada, Ritchie Bros. will host its annual spring auction, featuring equipment from hundreds of companies across Western Canada.
The five-day auction will have more than 10,900+ equipment items and trucks listed to sell, including 245+ excavators, 195+ skid steers, 135+ dozers, 100+ loaders, 155+ aerial work platforms, 45+ cranes, 155+ dump trucks, 130+ flatbed trucks, 80+ winch tractors, 80+ boom trucks, 220+ truck tractors, a large selection of oilfield-related equipment, real estate and more.
“We have an amazing selection of equipment growing every day, so in order to ensure a safe and time efficient sale for our customers, we have added a fifth day to the event,” said Trent Vandenberghe, regional sales manager, Ritchie Bros. “Our April and October events are usually our biggest of the year, aligning with the changing of the seasons—this year is no different. We encourage bidders to visit our website early, find what items their interested in and then come down to the site and inspect it for themselves. As always, everything will sell, without minimum bids or reserve prices.”
More than 1,200 consignors will be selling equipment in the Edmonton auction, including complete dispersals for Harpoon Energy, a Red Deer, AB-based oilfield surface rental company, and Schur Trucking, a Nisku, AB-based oilfield transportation company.
“We are selling 300 assets in the Edmonton auction with most of it being 2012 or newer models, well-maintained by our in-house service techs,” said Dave Roberts, owner of Harpoon Energy. “We have been doing business with Ritchie Bros. for 25 years. They get us great results with their worldwide reach, but there are almost always deals to be had, which keeps the buyers coming back.”
