Ritchie Bros. to Sell 1,400+ Items at June Saskatoon Auction

Ritchie Bros. is set to sell over 1,400 items at its Saskatoon, SK auction on June13-14, 2019. With equipment from more than 100 companies, the auction will cover nearly every industry and include late-model agriculture, construction, energy, and transportation equipment.

The auction will also include the sale of game-worn Humboldt Broncos jerseys and other sports memorabilia for charity.

One of the consignors in the Saskatoon auction is BLS Asphalt, a family-owned-and-operated business based in Regina, SK. Specializing in gravel crushing, road building, and urban construction, BLS has been in business for 20 years.

“We are doing a major realignment of our fleet, which is great news for buyers as all our equipment is late-model, well-maintained equipment ready to go to work for a new company—either locally or abroad,” said BLS Vice President Jonas Short. “We have 40 items in the auction—dozers, loaders, crushing equipment and more. By selling with Ritchie Bros. we guarantee our equipment will be seen by buyers around the globe, helping us achieve true market value on auction day.”

The Humboldt Broncos consigned a selection of game-worn jerseys from the 2018 – 2019 season. The design of these unique “third jerseys” was led by Ryan Gobeil from the Swift Current Broncos staff. Gobeil’s brother, Morgan, was one of the 29 people involved in the April 6, 2018 Humboldt Broncos bus accident.

Also selling for charity in the auction are signed Winnipeg Jets and Chicago Blackhawks jerseys worn in their game on April 7, 2018—all have authenticity patches stitched inside. Following the auction, the Broncos organization will be making donations to the Royal University Hospital Trauma Unit and the Saskatoon City Hospital Rehabilitation Unit through their respective hospital foundations.

Specific equipment highlights in the two-day Saskatoon auction include two 2017 John Deere T670 combines, a 2018 Caterpillar 980M wheel loader, a 2012 Caterpillar D10T dozer, a 2015 Caterpillar D6N LGP dozer, a 2016 KPI-JCI JCI K300S portable cone crusher, and a 2015 Kolberg Pioneer 3055 31″ x 51″ portable jaw crushing plant. All 1,400+ items in the Saskatoon auction will be sold without minimum bids or reserve prices.

“Our goal is to have something for everyone—through our live events and various online marketplaces,” said Jason Huber, regional sales manager, Ritchie Bros. “As always, our Saskatoon event is open to the public. We encourage interested bidders to check out all the available equipment online at rbauction.com and/or come and inspect it in person at the auction site.”
