Rockland Trust appointed John Doucette as senior vice president and managing director of middle market and specialized lending. In this role, Doucette will oversee the middle market and specialized lending divisions, focusing on driving portfolio growth, optimizing lending strategies and strengthening relationships within target sectors.
“John brings an impressive depth of expertise in managing commercial banking portfolios, driving new business development and leading high-performing teams,” James Rizzo, chief commercial banking officer at Rockland Trust, said. “His leadership will be crucial in advancing our commercial banking efforts as we continue to expand our position in the middle market commercial banking marketplace.”
Before joining Rockland Trust, Doucette held several senior leadership positions at M&T Bank, including executive vice president and head of commercial banking in Massachusetts. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Bentley University and completed the Fleet Financial Group Commercial Credit Training Program.
Throughout his career, Doucette has been actively involved in the community, serving on executive and board committees for various organizations, including the Associated Industries of Massachusetts, the South Shore Health Charitable Foundation, Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries of Boston, the Massachusetts Business Roundtable and Meet Boston. Additionally, he is a member of several professional associations such as the Secured Finance Network (formerly the Commercial Finance Association) and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
